Milngavie Churches Prayer Breakfast: will be held at Allander Evangelical Church this Saturday (29th August). Breakfast will be from 08:00am and a time of prayer from 08:45am. All are welcome.
West Highland Way Walkers Witness: our next session will be this Saturday, around 10:00am, outside Costa's (just after the prayer breakfast). We will provide a blessing, St John's Gospel, photo opportunity and shortbread to WHW walkers. If you'd like to be part of this group, please get in touch with Rev. Lynsey.
The Way: our next evening service will be this Sunday (30th August) and we welcome back Shona Stirling as our guest preacher. Shona will be continuing with our current theme: Being an emotionally healthy disciple of Jesus. There are activities for children during the service and refreshments are served before the service (from 6.30pm - service starts at 7pm). If you can support the children's team at our monthly The Way, please get in touch with Hilary at the church office.
Prayer Time for The Way: there will be a short time of prayer for August's The Way service at 10:15 am on Sunday morning (30th August) in the Centenary room. If you can, please join us to ask God for his continuing blessing on this ministry.
Alpha: we are aiming to start a new Alpha course, aimed specifically at those within our own congregation who are new to faith, exploring faith, or wanting to deepen their understanding and commitment to following Jesus. This is an 11 week course with proposed dates: Wed 9th Sept – Wed 25th Nov (7.00pm). If interested, please email
Summer Nights: our last Summer Nights walking group will be on this Wednesday (26th August) at 7pm.
Final Week - Glasgow City Mission: thank you to all who have donated. The items will be collected on Sunday, 30th August after The Way so if you would still like to contribute and haven't done so already, there is still some time left! There is a labelled plastic box in the Large Hall for donations of these items, if you can help at all. Many thanks.
New Flower Delivery Rota: copies of the new rota are now available for collection from the pigeon holes at the back of the church. Thank you all for serving in this way.
Baking for The Beacon: donations of cake, fruit loaf, scones and pancakes are always welcome. A sign-up sheet is available at the back of the church for anyone who would like to help in this way. Ann MacLeod
