200 Years of Glasgow City Mission: a service celebrating 200 years of Glasgow City Mission will be held tonight (17th May) in Glasgow Cathedral at 6.30pm.
The General Assembly of the Church of Scotland (15-18 May) Full details are available on the Church of Scotland’s web-site and live proceedings will be available on-line. Please pray for the commissioners to the General Assembly who examine the work and laws of the Church and make decisions that affect its future.
The Prayer Group: tomorrow evening at 7:30, Rita Nkemba, friend of Rev. John MacGregor, will share something of her amazing ministry in Uganda. Rita formed Dwelling Places in Kampala and over the last 20 years thousands of children have been rescued from the streets and have been given a new life and a faith in Jesus.
Vestry Hour: will not take place this Wednesday but if you have any pastoral or spiritual concerns, both Rev. Lynsey Brennan (0744 7949301) and Rev. John McGregor (07387 851020) are there for you and to help in any way that they can. If you are aware of someone else in the church community in need of support, please also contact Lynsey, John or Hilary at the church office.
With regret we note the following deaths:-
Mr Donald Macleod on Friday, 17th April. There will be a service of thanksgiving at St. Paul’s on Saturday, 23rd May at 12:00.
Mrs Edith Blackadder on Thursday, 30th April. There will be a funeral service at Clydebank Crematorium at 9:30am followed by a service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s at 11:00am on Wednesday, 20th May.

Trustees Safeguarding Training: Trustees are reminded to sign up for either training sessions on Friday 22nd May 2-4pm in the Large Hall or Wednesday 27th May 7-9pm in the Jubilee hall .
Milngavie Churches Prayer Breakfast will be held in St Luke’s Church on Saturday, 30th May. Breakfast will be from 08:00am and a time of prayer from 08:45am. All are welcome.
West Highland Way Walkers Witness
We have started a small group to provide a blessing, St John’s Gospel, photo opportunity and shortbread to WHW walkers. Our next session will be around 10:00am, outside Costa’s on Saturday, 30th May (just after the prayer breakfast). If you’d like to be part of this group, please get in touch with Rev. Lynsey.
The Way: our monthly evening service takes place on Sunday, 31st May. There will be tea/coffee/hot chocolate and doughnuts from 6:30pm with our service beginning at 7:00pm. As usual, we'll have a great balance of traditional and contemporary praise songs led by our musicians.
